![]() Update: I also use MacFuse 4.4.1 if that makes any difference. But adding/deleting/updating from windows does show the change for my mac. So I tried playing around and adding NEW documents/files to both Mac and Windows and noted that adding new files on either system shows up for the other system, but deleting/updating from mac does not show up on windows. When I make a change in the 123.docx document on my Mac computer, then wait for it to sync, then I go to my windows computer, the windows computer does not show the change. I go to my windows computer and decrypt my Cryptomator and I see the 123.docx file. I then see it sync’d up (stream) to my Google Drive encrypted. I add a file (123.docx) through my Macbook > Google Drive > Cryptomator. I also have a Windows 10 Computer with the downloaded Google Stream App. If you want to contribute to the source code of the project it can be done from your page of GitHub.I have a Macbook Pro M1 Pro and downloaded Google Stream App. In it we will write the following order: sudo apt remove cryptomator & sudo apt autoremoveĪnd to finish removing the program from our system, we can get rid of the repository using the following command: sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:sebastian-stenzel/cryptomator To remove this program from our Ubuntu operating system, we will only have to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T). Cryptomator encrypts files and it doesn't matter where you store them. We won't even need to specify which cloud to use. With cryptomator we won't have to deal with accounts, key management, cloud access grants, or encryption settings. With this program we can add, edit and delete files as users are used to using any disk drive. Cryptomator will give us direct access to a virtual drive to access our safes. This way, our cloud storage provider's sync client knows exactly what needs to be uploaded and what doesn't. So if we edit only a small text file, only the corresponding encrypted file is changed. Regarding security, directory structures, file names and their sizes will be safe by means of the encryption password that will protect our files from brute force attempts.Ĭompared to other encryption utilities disk, Cryptomator encrypts each file individually. With Cryptomator, we will be able to create an unlimited number of safes with unique passwords that will always be safe thanks to its method of 256-bit AES encryption.
